IMPROVE VOCAB | WIN NATIONAL TITLE

What is Tamil Theni?

Encouraging second generation Tamil learners in North America to improve their Tamil vocabulary, by providing curated Words, helping to form clubs for practicing and using a national competition format for recognition.

FeTNA • பேரவை

FeTNA (Federation of Tamil Associations of North America) provides the National Platform for the competitions and recognizes winners at the various stages of the competitions with Trophies, Medals, Certificates and Financial awards.

Word List

The goal is to identify and share 4000 words from common usage, introduce origin of words and explore richness of words from Sangam literature.

Schools, Clubs, Tamil Sangams

Tamil schools, Tamil Sangams and individuals in North America can form groups/clubs to practice and prepare for the competitions.

Competitions are for Tamil learners up to age 16. Competitions are conducted in various formats catering to different age groups. Refer to the Competition page for further details.

Quizzes for various levels will be conducted periodically to assist Schools in selecting their teams.

A free Quiz App is available to participate in scheduled online Live Quizzes. It is a great way to become familiar with typical questions and to practice for the competition.

Clubs can also use the Quiz App for their internal competitions.

Tamil Theni is managed by Volunteers. FeTNA sponsors the Prizes.

However, there are other expenses to manage the mobile app, data hosting, cloud services for machine learning etc.
